The rental period is strictly defined in the rental agreement. The Renter is obligated to return the Vehicle to the Renting Company’s station on the agreed date and time. Failure to do so will result in additional charges and compensation for any resulting loss or damages. Any extension of the rental period is subject to the following conditions:
Written notification to the Renting Company at least 48 hours prior to the original expiration time.
Written approval from the Renting Company.
Advance payment of the additional agreed rental fee. Note: During the high season (July 15 to August 30), the minimum reservation duration is three (3) days.
The rental price is agreed upon by both parties and must be paid in advance.
Payment can be made via:
Cash or Credit/Debit card at the Renting Company’s station.
Bank deposit to ALPHA BANK (Account No: GR5201406310631002330001854). Payments must be confirmed with an official company receipt or a valid bank deposit slip.
The agreed rental price covers only the items explicitly stated in this agreement. Any additional costs, fines, or expenses incurred during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the Renter.
Mileage/Kilometers: The rental price assumes compliance with any agreed mileage limits. Odometer readings are recorded at delivery and upon return. Any excess mileage will be charged at the end of the rental.
Odometer Tampering: Obstructing, disconnecting, or reprogramming the Vehicle’s odometer is strictly prohibited. In such cases, the Renting Company reserves the right to estimate the driven mileage at its own reasonable discretion and charge the Renter accordingly.
The Vehicle is delivered to the Renter in excellent working condition and free from defects. By accepting the keys, the Renter confirms the Vehicle is in satisfactory condition. The Renter must return the Vehicle, along with the provided helmet(s) and all relevant documents, in the exact same condition. Delivery & Collection Policy:
Rentals of 5 days or more: Free delivery and collection at your preferred location.
Rentals under 5 days: A charge of €5 per route applies for delivery/collection.
After-hours service: Available by prior arrangement only and subject to a surcharge.
The Vehicle must be driven exclusively on the island of Syros. Taking the Vehicle outside Syros is strictly prohibited without prior written consent from the Renting Company. Only the designated Renter is authorized to drive the Vehicle. Sub-leasing or lending the Vehicle to third parties is forbidden. The Renter must NOT use the Vehicle:
To transport passengers or goods for commercial purposes (hire/reward).
To participate in any motor race, rally, or speed testing.
To transport heavy luggage, flammable materials, hazardous substances, or illegal goods.
To tow any other vehicle or object.
While under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other substance that impairs driving ability.
In violation of any traffic laws or customs regulations.
Without wearing a legally approved helmet.
On unpaved, off-road, or unsuitable terrains.
The Renter must take reasonable care of the Vehicle, checking fluid levels and tires, and ensuring it is securely locked when parked. No repairs or modifications may be made to the Vehicle without the Renting Company's explicit consent.
In the event of an accident, damage, or any other incident, the Renter must immediately:
Notify the Renting Company.
Contact the Police to report the incident.
Record the names, contact details, and license plates of any third parties and witnesses involved.
Gather evidence (e.g., photographs of the scene and damages).
Do not admit liability or guilt to any third party under any circumstances.
The Renter is financially responsible for any damage caused to the Vehicle during the rental period, regardless of fault. In the event of theft, the Renter must compensate the Renting Company up to the full commercial value of the Vehicle.
If the Vehicle is abandoned or not returned to the agreed location, the Renter is liable for all resulting costs, including search and recovery expenses, transportation back to the station, and legal fees.
The Renter must pay for damages promptly, regardless of potential insurance coverage. If the Renting Company is later reimbursed by an insurance provider for the exact same damage, the corresponding amount will be refunded to the Renter.
The Renting Company provides basic Third-Party Liability insurance. This coverage is valid only if the Vehicle is used in strict compliance with the terms of this agreement and applicable traffic laws. If the Renter breaches any terms (e.g., driving under the influence, driving on unpaved roads, unauthorized drivers), the insurance coverage is immediately voided. In such cases, the Renter becomes fully and personally liable for all damages to the Vehicle, third parties, and any related legal claims or costs.
The Renter is required to provide the Renting Company with the agreed security deposit to ensure full and strict compliance with all terms of this agreement. This deposit will be held by the Renting Company and refunded to the Renter, without interest, upon the termination of the rental, provided the Vehicle is returned in the exact same condition as it was delivered. The Renting Company reserves the right to withhold the deposit, in whole or in part, in the event of a breach of any term of this agreement by the Renter, or to cover the costs of any damages, missing items (e.g., helmets), or other liabilities incurred during the rental period.
The cost of fuel is the sole responsibility of the Renter. The Vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as it had at the time of delivery.
The Renter is solely responsible for all traffic violations, parking tickets, and administrative fines incurred during the rental period. The Renting Company holds no liability, and any such penalties will be charged directly to the Renter.
The Renting Company is liable only in cases of fraud or gross negligence on its part. The Renting Company is not responsible for any loss, damage, or delays caused by vehicle failure, force majeure, or any events beyond its control.
The Renting Company reserves the right to assign its rights and obligations under this agreement to a third party. The Renter is not permitted to transfer or assign any of their rights or obligations under this agreement to anyone else.
If the Renter violates any term of this agreement, provides false information, or fails to exercise reasonable care in using and securing the Vehicle, the Renting Company has the right to terminate the rental immediately and reclaim the Vehicle without prior notice. This termination does not waive the Renting Company's right to claim full compensation for any resulting damages or losses.
The Renter may return the Vehicle before the scheduled expiration date. However, no refunds will be issued for unused rental days or advance payments, unless explicitly agreed otherwise by the Renting Company.
Entire Agreement: This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any prior verbal or written arrangements.
No Tacit Renewal: Automatic or unspoken renewal of this rental agreement is strictly forbidden.
Modifications: Any changes to these terms must be made in writing.
No Waiver: The Renting Company's delay or failure to enforce any right under this agreement does not constitute a waiver of that right.
Jurisdiction: This agreement is governed by Greek law. Any disputes arising from this rental will be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts of Syros, Greece.
